The Simpsons are celebrating Disney+ Day with a new short called “The Simpsons In Plusaversary.” The show will be the first cartoon to premiere on the streaming service, and it’s meant to celebrate all of your favorite characters’ next big adventure. You can watch it here.

We all know that The Simpsons is a long running series of hit shows on TV, but did you know the franchise has been around since 1989?! Without Springfield’s favorite family we may not have gotten some of our most beloved Disney+ releases yet.

The “The Simpsons In Plusaversary” is a short that celebrates Disney+ Day. It also features a new character, Marge’s sister Patty, who was voiced by Kristen Schaal. The episode aired on May 8th, 2019.

On Friday, November 12, “The Simpsons” will commemorate Disney+ Day by streaming the new short “The Simpsons in Plusaversary,” which will be available on the service.

“The Simpsons in Plusaversary!” brings the Disney+ Day celebration to Springfield. The Simpsons hold a Disney+ Day party in the new short, and everyone is invited… except Homer. Plusaversary is Springfield’s event of the year, with pals from throughout the service and music suitable for a Disney princess. “The Simpsons in Plusaversary,” a Disney+ Day premiere, will air exclusively on the streaming service on Friday, November 12th. On Friday, November 12, the worldwide celebration of Disney+ Day will come to life with new content releases, fan experiences, unique discounts, and more throughout The Walt Disney Company.

The third in a series of Disney+ videos from “The Simpsons” that promote the service’s prominent brands and titles is “The Simpsons in Plusaversary.” “Maggie Simpson in ‘The Force Awakens from Its Nap’” and “The Good, The Bart, and The Loki,” two previously published Star Wars and Marvel-themed cartoons, are now accessible on Disney+. The theatrical short “The Longest Daycare” was nominated for an Academy Award in 2012.

The theatrical short “Playdate with Destiny” (2020) and the Disney+ exclusive “The Force Awakens From Its Nap” were then released (2021). Their mega-attraction, The Simpsons Movie, was a successful feature picture. With the advent of ‘Springfield,’ The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios has experienced historic expansion revisions, garnering a Thea Award in both 2009 and 2017. In 2000, the show received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 2018, the Simpsons’ continuing Tapped Out mobile game, which debuted in 2012, won a Webby Award. Time Magazine rated it the “Best Show of the 20th Century,” Entertainment Weekly named it the “Greatest American Sitcom” in 2013, and vulture.com named it “The Best TV Show Ever” in 2016. A ten-minute animated collaboration between the Simpsons and Balenciega was the talk of Paris fashion week on October 2, 21.
