Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor is an American science fiction horror film, written and directed by Glen Takajian in 1990.

After the moderate success of Lethal Progeny in 1983, producer Ted A. Bogus and his partner, Dr. Ron Giannotto, developed a sequel. However, the plot evolved into something else.

With a slightly larger budget than caviar, the metamorphosis: Alien Factor began production in an abandoned warehouse in Jersey City outside and some interior plans in the office building in Hackensack with childhood friends and buildings in New Jersey and New York. Most of the main images were of course finished in 1987, but it took much longer to finish the special effects and especially the stop-motion shots.

It’s a funny movie, actually. The pleasure of cheese. Scientific experiments – what can go wrong in a remote and classified object The effects are incredibly spectacular, effective and original, and it will certainly entertain a group film session. Terrible habit

The entire film takes place in a secret, brightly lit laboratory, so the permanent effects of the creature are always perfectly visible! In most movies, the monsters are partially hidden until the middle or even the end, but not here. …play? Okay, hold the theater, don’t exaggerate. Cinematography? Basically, it’s exactly what you’d expect from the ’90s when you click on the sample video. Caijuman

In the end, I liked this movie better than Deadly Bread. The effect is better achieved, the story is slightly narrower and only holds the lowest average of all potential victims. Once the film overcomes its incessant flashes and focuses on people fighting monsters, it continues to increase the threat and landscape in a beautiful and unexpected way. Outpost Zeta

Unlike most of those cheap, fantastic horrors that hide their animals in the dark, they are metamorphoses: The extraterrestrial postman is not afraid to let his disgusting creature escape into the well-lit corridors of the research laboratory. Generally it works, and the animation of the creature running through the corridors is pretty good for this time of year. Rivets on the poster

There’s a lot of latex and a lot of KY. The mountain is abundant. The characters are boring, and with the scientific procedure they make a film. It is a film that feels the need to confront capitalism and obscure businessmen instead of a foreign invasion, which is obviously more important. nightmare story

… No one is a particularly good actor here, most actors are either inexperienced or just not talented enough to wear a film. Plus, as long as there’s splashing, you don’t get as much fun as the Death Spawn. It is interesting that a larger budget really becomes a problem. While low budget in the previous film was part of his charm, the bigger one here makes it look like what it ultimately is: an incredible live-action horror video film. Speaking of horrors.

While the film will be a special effects festival until the last third, Takakjian deserves some credit for resisting the tension throughout the film. In many films these overdose effects can become insensitive, but the director will use the final roles to achieve the maximum effect. The intensity of all the monstrous actions of the climate helps to compensate for the fact that the first scenes of the drama are rather wobbly….. TV guide

Amateur things seem to want to be effects, but it’s a shame that he didn’t realize how terrible and bad his effects are, not to mention the lousy script (which he takes very seriously), which was produced by writer/director Takakjian. In between the often ridiculous monster attacks, we have a lot of scientific gibberish and pointless dialogues, conducted by very bad actors. Video cemetery
